It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved founder, Jerre James.
​
Jerre was a true force in the world of dance within our community and beyond. Her vision and passion led her to co-found Ballet Arts Ensemble in 1982 alongside Bette Joachimi. Her lasting legacy continues to thrive today, having shaped countless lives and the artistic landscape of Kalamazoo.We are profoundly grateful for her foundational work and enduring inspiration.
Jerre's spirit, talent, and dedication have touched countless lives and left an incredible mark on the arts. Ballet Arts Ensemble proudly carries on her vision, a testament to her enduring legacy.
